From The Polytechnic, Ibadan

Words are not enough to summarise my R4i experience, as this is a lifetime opportunity to be inspired on how to be creative, innovative and positively impact the society. This journey started on a note that it was going to be like the usual workshop where you attend and enjoy the ambience of a place away from home, but I was later proven wrong. Right from the first day, it had been a wonderful exposition which stimulates me to love a problem with my heart but never be in love with a solution, as solutions to problems keep changing. My R4i experience also enhanced me further to explore many ideas as out of them are the most important solutions. As a result of this, I need to generate ideas that can SCAMPER i.e. substitute, combine, adapt, modify, put to other use, eliminate and rearrange to make it acceptable and be of great benefit to the society.

I can never forget in a hurry, the presentation of Engr. Betty who informed the class of the need to be emotionally intelligent as there are unspoken/latent needs in every human being which must be revealed and respected. The other facilitators were top-notch as they all took us through different realms of understanding. The beautiful integration of all the participants was encouraging as we usually applaud our facilitators with a locomotive clapping to the delight of everyone. The bond we all shared is second to none, including that of my team 5 members from The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

Sincerely, Innov8 Hub and TETFund are warmly appreciated for this wave of change coming from them to birth a new narrative of I can, I ought and I will mindset, through their generous sponsorship and training of different participants from both the Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Universities in Nigeria. The R4i initiative has shown that the new Nigeria of renewed hope we all desire is right within us. Similarly, I also appreciated the management of The Polytechnic, Ibadan for nominating me to attend this program; without their nomination, thisR4i experience wouldn’t come to pass.
